Stampin’ Up! World of Dreams with Watercolor Wash

I used the World of Dreams and Watercolor Wash stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for the Sketch & Stamp SB110 sketch challenge today.

World of Dreams - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the Sketch & Stamp SB110 sketch for the week.  Be sure to stop by the Sketch & Stamp Blog to play along!

Screen Shot 2015-06-21 at 1.58.48 PMI started by adhering a panel from the English Garden DSP pack to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL, then to a Mint Macaron card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

World of Dreams 2 - Stamp With Amy K

Since I wanted the background on the focal image to be a little more muted, I used a Sponge Dauber to apply Night of Navy and Mint Macaron inks to the Watercolor Wash stamp, then I stamped the image on a panel of Whisper White card stock.

World of Dreams 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image from the World of Dreams stamp set in Soft Suede ink over the Watercolor Wash image, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.

World of Dreams 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a strip of Mint Macaron card stock and I adhered it to a strip of Soft Suede card stock, then to the stamped panel with SNAIL.  I used my Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce the layered panels, then I added an Antique Brad.  I adhered the layered panels to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

World of Dreams 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image from the World of Dreams stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then I stamped the wide brush stroke image from the Work of Art stamp set in both Mint Macaron and Night of Navy inks over the first image after stamping it on scrap paper once to finish the inside of the card.

Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Member’s blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.

  1. So glad you used stamps I don’t have so I can see how beautiful they really are. Your card is lovely, background is just right. Always enjoy your cards so much.

  2. Amy, I really like the colors you used here…they’re so soothing. I also love how the Watercolor Wash background looks! Dawn

  3. Amy, thanks so much for this tutorial.  I turned my nose up at the watercolor wash background stamp but you have changed my mind.  I have to order it now and try this technique.  I think my customers will love it.   Joyce
