Stampin’ Up! Sheltering Tree Window Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets Sheltering Tree and Cottage Greetings to create my card to share today.

Sheltering Tree - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Can You Case It #80.

Screen Shot 2015-08-05 at 5.37.06 PMAnd the colors for my card were inspired by Fab Friday #69.

Screen Shot 2015-08-05 at 5.38.48 PMI started by stamping the flowers from the Cottage Greetings stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink across the bottom of a panel of Lost Lagoon card stock.  Then I stamped the sentiment from that stamp set in VersaMark Ink over the flowers, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

Sheltering Tree 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock with SNAIL, then to a Mossy Meadow card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the images from the Sheltering Tree photopolymer stamp set in Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.

Sheltering Tree 3 - Stamp With Amy K

For the images of the tree leaves, clouds and grass, I inked the stamp, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it on the card stock to give the colors a little different shading.  I cut the stamped image into 4 pieces and adhered them with SNAIL to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock, then with Stampin’ Dimensionals to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock.

I adhered the layered window image to the card front with SNAIL, then pulled a strand of Linen Thread through a Classy Designer Button, tied a bow and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Sheltering Tree 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the images from the Sheltering Tree stamp set on a Whisper White panel inside the card in Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon inks.

  1. So very sweet. What a great little window scene and a great idea for that sketch along with our colors! Thanks for playing at Fab Friday!

  2. What a perfect little window scene – and what a great way to make it! I totally have to try that now, lol. I especially love your meadow-y inside details, too – ah, sweet spring! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

I know I’m a few years behind on this comment but hey, better late than never!
