I used the Stampin’ Up! Snow Place stamp set and Snow Friends Framelits Dies to create my card for The Paper Players sketch challenge this week.
Be sure to stop by The Paper Players blog to check out the awesome projects created by the other Design Team Members. And be sure to play along too! 🙂 Here is the sketch for PP259:
I started by adhering a panel from the Merry Moments DSP pack to a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL, then to a Mossy Meadow card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I punched the ends of two strips of Crumb Cake card stock with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered one to the top of the card and one to the left side of the card. I adhered a panel punched with the Banner Triple Punch from the Merry Moments DSP pack (also available as a Designer Series Paper Stack on Sept 1) over the Crumb Cake banner at the top, then I inked the sentiment from the Snow Place photopolymer stamp set (available Sept 1) in Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler inks and I stamped it on a Whisper White banner that I’d also punched with the Banner Triple Punch. I adhered the sentiment banner over the Crumb Cake banner with SNAIL.
I stamped the snowman images from the Snow Place stamp set in Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede and Tuxedo Black Memento Inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I colored the noses with my Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker, then cut the images out with the matching Snow Friends Framelits Dies (available Sept 1) and adhered them together with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the larger snowman with SNAIL and the littler snowman with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.
**One note: The hat for the little snowman was a bit too large for his head (it’s designed to fit the big snowman), so I simply trimmed it down with my Paper Snips to a size that better fit the little guy. 🙂
I pulled a strand of Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine through a Cherry Cobbler Button from the Regals Designer Buttons pack, tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot to the card front.
I adhered a strip of the Merry Moments DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock, then to a Crumb Cake panel with SNAIL.
