I used the new Festive Fireplace and Festive Fireside Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for Stamping & Blogging’s Sketch & Stamp SB119 sketch this week. I had so much fun making a holiday card with this stamp set and Framelits on earlier this week (you can see it here) that I had to pull it out and create a fall scene too!
Here is Stamping & Blogging’s Sketch & Stamp SB119 sketch for the week. Be sure to stop by the Sketch & Stamp Blog to play along!
The colors for my card were inspired by Fab Friday 71. Somehow I ended up using Hello Honey rather than Delightful Dijon…oops!
And the theme for my card was inspired by Just Us Girls #307.
I started by wrapping strands of the Happy Haunting and 2014-16 In Color Designer Washi Tapes around a panel of Old Olive card stock. I adhered the Old Olive panel to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock with SNAIL, then to a Hello Honey card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I inked the fireplace and mantle images from the Festive Fireplace photopolymer stamp set (available Sept 1) in Tip Top Taupe ink, stamped them off once on scrap paper, then stamped them on a panel of Tip Top Taupe card stock. I snipped the fireplace out with my Paper Snips, cut the mantle with the matching Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies (available Sept 1) and adhered both to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the wreath and logs image from the Festive Fireplace stamp set in Tip Top Taupe on Very Vanilla card stock and colored them with my Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Old Olive and Crumb Cake (for the logs) Stampin’ Write Markers. I cut the images out with the matching Festive Fireside Framelits Dies (available Sept 1) and adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.
I colored the letters individually from the Cheer All Year photopolymer stamp set (available Sept 1) with my Blackberry Bliss (turned the “E” into an “F” by not coloring the bottom line), Old Olive, Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped them on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. I punched each letter with the Banner Punch, then inked the leaf images from the A Little Something stamp set (available Sept 1) in Tip Top Taupe, stamped them on scrap paper, then stamped them on the banners. I sponged the edges of the banners with Tip Top Taupe ink, placed a strand of Linen Thread under them and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I placed Glue Dots under the Linen Thread ends to hold it in place.
I cut leaves with the die from the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies set (available Sept 1) from Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss card stocks and adhered the leaf sets together with SNAIL. I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around each leaf set, tied a small knot, then adhered the leaves to the card front with Glue Dots.
I wrapped a Hello Honey Washi Tape from the 2014-2016 In Color Designer Washi Tape pack around a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.
