Stampin’ Up! CAS Autumn Acorny Thank You

I used the Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You and Cheer All Year stamp sets to create a clean an simple autumn card to share today.  It’s finally cooling off and drying out a bit here…so glad that fall is not so far away!  🙂

Acorny Thank You - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #137.

And I figured that I’d add another card to the Just Us Girls #307 theme challenge.

I started by adhering the polka dot DSP panel from the Into the Woods DSP pack to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel with SNAIL to the woodgrain panel from the Into the Woods DSP pack at an angle.

Acorny Thank You 2 - Stamp With Amy KI trimmed the layered panel so that it was even with the wood grain panel on the right side and the top, then adhered the panels to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock with SNAIL.  I inked the word “autumn” from the Cheer All Year photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink and stamped it on the polka dot DSP panel.  I cleaned my stamp and inked the “hello” part of the sentiment in Soft Suede ink and I stamped it above the autumn sentiment.

I adhered the layered panels to a Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then punched a 1-3/4″ Circle Punch from Mossy Meadow card stock and cut a circle from Soft Suede card stock with a Circles Collection Framelits die.  I adhered the two circles together, then to the card front with SNAIL.

Acorny Thank You 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the lower part of the acorn image from the Acorny Thank You photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink and the upper part of the acorn in Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I punched the two acorn pieces out with the Acorn Builder Punch adhered them together with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through a Gold Basic Metal Button, tied a bow and adhered it to the acorn with a Glue Dot.

I adhered a leftover strip of the Into the Woods DSP to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Love this, Amy. You’re always so good at combining DSP paper patterns – in ways I tend to shy away from (that whole never-wear-stripes-and-polka-dots thing, I guess). But they look so great together – I’m got to start getting out of my comfort zone! Thanks for inspiring me! 🙂

    • Thanks Mary, it took me a long time to really start using much DSP…now I use it all of the time! One tip: Keep the border colors the same and then it’s easier to mix and match the patterns. Have fun playing with your paper! 🙂
