I used the Stampin’ Up! Embellished Ornaments stamp set and Delicate Ornaments Thinlits Dies to create my card for The Paper Players tic-tac-toe challenge this week.
Be sure to stop by The Paper Players blog to check out the awesome projects created by the other Design Team Members. And be sure to play along too! 🙂 Here is the tic-tac-toe board for PP260:
I went straight across the center: square, embossing, Tip Top Taupe.
The design for my card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #201.
I started by embossing a panel of Tip Top Taupe card stock with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder (available Sept 1). I adhered the embossed panel to a panel from the Gold Foil Sheets with SNAIL, then to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered a vellum panel from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack (available Sept 1) to a panel of Tip Top Taupe with a little SNAIL under the area where the ornament and sentiment would go and a Glue Dot under one of the snowflakes. I adhered the layered vellum panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the sentiment from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set (available Sept 1) in Basic Black Archival Ink (available Sept 1) on a panel of Tip Top Taupe card stock. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the ornament image from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink on a panel of Tip Top Taupe card stock, cut it out with the matching Delicate Ornaments Thinlits Die (available Sept 1) and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut the flower and ornament top from Gold Foil Sheets with the Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies and adhered them with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I tied a bow from Basic Black 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon and adhered it to the ornament with a Glue Dot.
I stamped the sentiment from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I inked the holly branch image in Basic Black Archival Ink, stamped it on scrap paper twice, stamped it over the sentiment and then adhered the panel to the inside of the card.
