I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets To You & Yours and Lighthearted Leaves to create my card to share today. This is definitely a little different than my normal style, I had a hard time photographing the card, I feel like it looks much prettier in person than it does in the photos…
The layout for my card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #202.
And the color scheme for my card was inspired by Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 12.
I started by adhering panel from the Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP pack to a Basic Black card base with SNAIL. I cut the panel to cover the entire card front.
I stamped the silhouette image from the To You & Yours photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Crushed Curry card stock. I stamped the star image from that stamp set in VersaMark over the top of the panel, sprinkled the images with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.
I sponged the top of the panel with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, wiped the excess ink off the embossed images, then adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Lighthearted Leaves photopolymer stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink on a strip of White Vellum, punched both ends with the Banner Punch and adhered it with a single Glue Dot (hidden under the button on the left).
I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through one of the Home for Christmas Designer Buttons, tied a bow, then adhered it with a Glue Dot to the card front.
I adhered a strip of the leftover Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP to a Whisper White panel inside the card.
I liked this sketch so much that I made another card with it that I’ll be posting on Monday, so be sure to stop by to see it too! 🙂
