Stampin’ Up! Watercolored Christmas Cuties

I used the new Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Christmas Cuties to create a fun watercolored card to share with you today.

Christmas Cuties - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 285.

I started by adhering a panel from the Home for Christmas DSP pack to a larger panel from the Home for Christmas DSP pack with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of the Very Vanilla 1-1/4″ Subtle Stripes Satin Ribbon around the panel and adhered it with SNAIL.

Christmas Cuties 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the layered panel to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with SNAIL, then to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Christmas Cuties 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image from the Christmas Cuties stamp Set in Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper and I watercolored the background with my Aqua Painter and Pool Party ink pad and the image with my Aqua Painter and Mossy Meadow, Real Red, Hello Honey, Early Espresso and Blushing Bride ink pads.

I allowed the image to dry completely, then stamped the snowflake images from the Christmas Cuties stamp set in Pool Party ink over the background.  I adhered the watercolored panel to the card front with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

Christmas Cuties 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Cuties stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I punched the end with the Banner Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to the card front.  I added three Home For Christmas Enamel Dots to finish the card front.

Christmas Cuties 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched the ends of two strips of Home for Christmas DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered them with SNAIL to the inside of the card.  I punched the end of a leftover strip of Watercolor Paper that I’d trimmed off the edge of the focal panel with the Banner Triple Punch and I adhered the strip to the inside of the card with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
