The design for my card was inspired by FabFriday 72.

I started by embossing a panel of So Saffron card stock with the Woodland Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Lost Lagoon card stock with SNAIL, then to a Tangelo Twist card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I snipped off about half of the “webs” from one of the Spider Web Doilies and I used my Brayer and Lost Lagoon ink to add some color to the white side of the doily.  I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I adhered a small strand of the Lost Lagoon 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon across the front of the card with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Among the Branches photopolymer stamp set in Tangelo Twist ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then used the fine point of my So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker to color the leaves.  I punched the image out with the 2″ Circle Punch and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I punched the ends of a narrow strip of Gold Glimmer Paper with the Banner Punch and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue over the sentiment circle.

I stamped the leaf image from the Vintage Leaves photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink twice on a panel of So Saffron card stock, then sprinkled the images with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I cut the images out with the Leaflets Framelits Die, then sponged one with Tangelo Twist ink and one with Lost Lagoon ink.  I adhered them together with SNAIL, then wrapped a double layer strand of Linen Thread around the top and tied a bow.

I sponged a little Tangelo Twist ink on one of the Into the Woods Elements and adhered it with a Glue Dot over the leaves.  I adhered the leaves to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the leaf image in So Saffron and Tangelo Twist inks across the bottom of a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. That Woodland EF is quickly becoming a favorite of mine! You make it shine. I love the way you subtly covered the bottom part of the Autumn Wishes circle stamp–It fits so smoothly and makes that stamp much more versatile! thanks for sharing.

  2. So much to like about this card Amy! I love the tailored spider’s web and those embossed and sponged leaves with acorn embellishment are just beautiful – they add so much to this card! I love the way you used the glimmer to mask part of your sentiment too to give an alternative look. A fabulous fall card and great use of this week’s colours!

  3. Oh, yummy colors! I really like your treatment of the inside panel, too – this set is one of my total faves right now, and the touches of gold are just perfect! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

  4. What a great design, Amy! I love your layering of elements, your Lost Lagoon cropped doily, and the way you covered up part of the ‘Autumn Wishes’ stamp to make it so much more versatile! Fantastic in every way! 🙂

  5. Such a pretty card, and how clever you are to re-invent the spider web doily! Love that embossed background too, perfect for an autumnal card.

  6. Just adorable! Love that “doily” 🙂 Also the colors are great, totally wouldn’t put them together on my own! Thanks for playing at Fab Fri!
