I used the Stampin’ Up! Sparkly Seasons stamp set to create a quick birthday card to share with you today. I’m not sure that I love the way that this card turned out…but I do think that the snow globe with the ballerina is really cute! I feel like I should have put a string from the top of the globe to the top of the card, but I couldn’t come up with a reason why the snow globe would have a string out the top, so I left it alone 😉
My card design was loosely inspired by Global Design Project #004.
I started by adhering a panel of Blushing Bride DSP from the Subltes DSP Stack to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then to a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the globe and ballerina image from the Sparkly Seasons photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, sprinkled them with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed the images. I colored the ballerina with Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Delightful Dijon Stampin’ Write Markers, then cut the image out with the matching Seasonal Frame Thinlits Die.
I stamped the snow image from the Sparkly Seasons stamp set over the ballerina image in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled it with Heat & Stick Powder, heated it, then sprinkled it with Dazzling Details Glitter and heated it again. I stamped the snow globe base in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and snipped it out. I adhered the globe images to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the sentiment from the Talented Trio photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a strip of White Vellum, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I punched one end with the banner punch and adhered the other end with a Glue Dot to the card front. I adhered an Iced Rhinestone Embellishment to a Blushing Bride button from the Subtles Designer Buttons pack with a Glue Dot, then adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot. I tied a small bow from Silver 1/8″ Ribbon and adhered it to the top of the globe with a rolled up Glue Dot.
I stamped the ballerina image from the Talented Trio stamp set in Pink Pirouette ink, then stamped the sentiment from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

I think it’s absolutely adorable and it works perfectly for our Team October “Pink” Challenge!…
Thanks Sandi! 🙂
Cute! I think if you’d put a string it would have needed to be a loop – to indicate that this is a tiny Christmas ornament. Which, of course, it isn’t! 😉 So – good call on no string. Very nice girl’s birthday card! 🙂
Thanks Mary! 🙂
Hi Amy! I have recently purchased this set and can’t wait to play with it. I have a pink obsession, so this beautiful creation really speaks to me, it’s cute, elegant and clean. Thank you so much for playing along to our Global Design Project this week, it was very exciting to see your name! Louise xo
Thanks Louise! Have fun playing with those stamps. 🙂
Such a sweet card! I know my granddaughter would love it. (No string is good.)
Thanks Melanie! 🙂
WOW Amy this is adorable and reminds me so much of my little musical jewellery box from when I was a little girl. Thanks for the lovely memory, great card xx
Thanks so much Michelle! 🙂
Hi Amy! How cute is this card?!! Just perfect for a little girls birthday. Love that you stamped the pink ballerina outline inside too. A great take on Lou’s inspiration piece. I am so happy you found the time to play along with us at Global Design Project!
Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment! 🙂
I notice that your card is a birthday card, however if it was a Christmas card then a Snow Globe ornament would make perfect sense.
Thanks Cherrie. 🙂
