Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You Mini Treat Bag Card

Blog Hop Header

We’re back with our Stampin’ Up! weekly team blog hop for the Happy Stampers group!  This week we’ve got a color challenge to play along with.  I used the Acorny Thank You and Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies to create my project for the hop and I borrowed a little inspiration from a Square Pillow Box project that I saw in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.Acorny Thank You - Stamp With Amy K

Here are the colors for our group blog hop this week:

Color Challenge Oct 8

I started by cutting a panel of Kraft Cardstock with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.  Then I embossed the two die cut panels with the Woodland Embossing Folder and I assembled the Mini Treat Bag with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the treat bag three times, then pulled the ends through a Rich Razzleberry button from the Brights Designer Buttons pack.  I stamped the acorn images from the Acorny Thank You photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede and Old Olive inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock and punched them out with the matching Acorn Builder Punch.

I adhered the acorn pieces together with SNAIL and to the front of the treat bag with Glue Dots.  I inked the sentiment from the Acorny Thank You stamp set in Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive inks, stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut it out with a Bitty Banners Framelits Die.  I adhered the banner to the back of one of the acorns with a Glue Dot.

Acorny Thank You 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I created a little 3-1/2″ x 5″ notecard that fits inside the treat bag.  The scroll image is from the Tin of Cards photopolymer stamp set and I stamped it in Rich Razzleberry ink on the Whisper White panel.  I adhered an acorn over the lower left corner, the cut a label with one of the Tags & Labels Framelits die from Rich Razzleberry card stock, folded it in half and stapled it with the Handheld Stapler to the top right of the note card.

And I thought that I’d share my first try at this treat bag with the wrong colors for the color challenge…I was positive that the colors for the challenge were Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry.  I didn’t realize that I’d made the treat bag in the wrong colors until I was loading the pictures to my blog post…oops!  🙂
