I used the Stampin’ Up! Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set and the Sparkly Seasons and Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies (available in a bundle) to create my card to share today.
My card layout was inspired by Can You Case It #89.
I started by stamping the large snowflake image from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set in VersaMark Ink across a panel of Whisper White card stock, then I stamped the smaller snow/star image from that stamp set in VersaMark Ink over the panel. I sprinkled the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.
I cut the stamped panel into strips and then started sponging a range of blue ink over the images. From top to bottom, I used Soft Sky, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Lost Lagoon and Island Indigo…If I had it to do over again, I would likely use Soft Sky, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Island Indigo and Night of Navy. I feel like the Lost Lagoon panel is a little too “green”.
I inked part of the sentiment from the Sparkly Seasons photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink and I stamped it on the Lost Lagoon sponged panel. I sprinkled it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it, then adhered the “snow” sentiment that I’d cut from Silver Foil Sheets with the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies under the stamped sentiment with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
I adhered the sponged panels to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panel to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added one of the Winter Wonderland Embellishments with a Glue Dot near the sentiment to finish the card front.
I stamped the large snowflake image form the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set in Soft Sky ink down the inside of the Thick Whisper White card base.
