I used the Stampin’ Up! Sweetbriar Rose and One Big Meaning stamp sets to create my card to share with you today.
The colors for my card were inspired by Pals Paper Arts 271. I love this color combination! 🙂
I started by adhering a panel from the Into the Woods DSP to a Soft Suede card base with SNAIL.
I covered the “Sweetbriar Rose” sentiment on the Sweetbriar Rose stamp with a Post-It Note, inked the rest of the image in VersaMark Ink and I stamped it on a panel of Watercolor Paper. I heat embossed the image with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then used my Hello Honey, Soft Suede and Old Olive ink pads and my Aqua Painter to watercolor the image.
I let the watercoloring dry completely, then stamped the sentiment from the One Big Meaning stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the watercolor paper panel. I adhered the watercolor paper panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the layered panel three times, pulled it through a Gold Basic Metal Button and tied a bow. I added a Glue Dot behind the button to hold it securely to the panel, then adhered the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered a strip of the Into the Woods DSP to a Whisper White panel inside the card.
