I used the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms stamp set to make a card focusing on the neutrals color palette.
My card design was inspired by The Paper Players #279.
And the colors for my card were inspired by The Card Concept #47. I’d say that my card is in the clean and layered category.
I started by embossing a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder. Then I inked the image from the First Sight stamp set in Soft Suede ink, stamped it off once and then stamped it on a wide strip of Very Vanilla card stock. I repeated this process until the image was stamped over the entire panel, then I adhered it with SNAIL to the embossed panel.
I wrapped a strand of Silver 5/8″ Satin Ribbon around the panel and adhered it with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panel to a Very Vanilla card base with SNAIL. I stamped the flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.
I used my Soft Suede, Smoky Slate and Early Espresso ink pads and my Aqua Painter to add just a touch of color to the image, then I cut it out with a Circles Collection Framelits Die and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment and flower from the Birthday Blooms stamp set in Soft Suede and Smoky Slate inks on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, then cut it out with the die from the Circle Card Thinlits die set. I adhered the sentiment die cut to the card front with SNAIL and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I inked the flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set in Soft Suede ink, stamped it on scrap paper once, then stamped it on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.

Thanks so much Linda, that made my day. 🙂
Wow this is gorgeous! Wish I could get my aqua painters to work like that…….they suffer from operator error! Anyway I love how elegant this is!
Thanks Linda! My Aqua Painters occasionally suffer from operator error too…it must be something with the painter, definitely not our issue. 😉

Congrats on your “A Cut Above” in PP279. The main flower and the gray ribbon are my favorite parts. How did you achieve the white tint on the gray ribbon?
Thanks Brent! The ribbon is a silver satin, so I think that the white tint that you’re seeing is the light reflecting in the photo.
So pretty Amy. You really combined the challenges together beautifully. The grey tint is gorgeous.
So glad you joined us at the Paper Players this week
Jaydee
