I used the Stampin’ Up! Helping Me Grow stamp set and a bit of the Metallics Glitter Tape from the new Sale-a-bration items that will be available on February 16 to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop. We’ve got a color challenge to play along with this week and this is what I created:
Here are the colors that we’re using this week:
I started by adhering a panel from the Wildflower Fields DSP pack (Sale-a-bration item) to an Old Olive card base with SNAIL. Then I embossed a panel of Hello Honey card stock with the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder and I adhered it with the pointed side down to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the flower image from the Helping Me Grow photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of watercolor paper, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I used my Aqua Painter to wet the entire panel with just water, then I added a tiny bit of Blackberry Bliss ink and I moved it around the panel until it was shaded lightly.
While the panel was still wet, I inked the corner image from the Helping Me Grow stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink, stamped it on scrap paper, then stamped it on the corners of the panel. I used my Aqua Painter to add a little more water to the corner stamps. Then I painted the flower images themselves with Hello Honey, Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss inks and my Aqua Painter.
I let the image dry completely, then adhered it to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive. I added a small strip of the the Metallics Glitter Tape (Sale-a-bration item available Feb 16), then stamped the sentiment from the Helping Me Grow stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on a strip of White Vellum. I used my Heat Tool on the Level 1 setting to dry the ink and I punched the end with the Hexagon Punch.
I placed the sentiment banner on the watercolor panel over the Glitter Tape, then used my Paper-Piercing tool to put a hole through the panel. I added an Antique Brad to hold the sentiment strip in place, then adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Check out that Metallics Glitter Tape! It comes in a three pack with silver, white and gold tape and it’s so pretty! It will be one of the Sale-a-bration selections available to you with an order of $50 or greater starting on February 16!
I inked the corner image from the Helping Me Grow stamp set in Old Olive ink, stamped it on scrap paper, then stamped it on the corners of a Whisper White panel inside the card.

What a gorgeous watercolor card 🙂 I really love the way you added Blackberry Bliss to the entire panel. I wouldn’t have thought to add a background color, especially BB this way. You are really rocking watercoloring!! Love the results and the cool glitter tape preview 😉
