Stampin’ Up! Hello You Faux Quilted Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hello You Thinlits Dies and Simply Scored Diagonal Plate to create my card to share today.

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #159.

The colors for my card were inspired by Fab Friday 80.

I started by scoring a panel of Blushing Bride card stock every 1″ with my Simply Scored Diagonal Plate and my Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  I rotated the panel 90 degrees and scored it again every 1″ to create the faux quilted look.

I adhered the scored panel to a panel of Watermelon Wonder card stock with SNAIL, then to a Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Pictogram Punches 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I used one of the Hello You Thinlits Dies to cut a panel from the Silver Foil Sheets and I adhered the die cut to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered a small Pearl Basic Jewel to every “intersection” of the score lines that wasn’t covered by the sentiment.

Pictogram Punches 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched three flowers from Watermelon Wonder card stock with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punch and adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots.  I colored three Pearl Basic Jewels with a red Sharpie marker and I adhered them to the centers of the flowers to finish the card front.

I stamped the flower and vase images from the Pictogram Punches stamp set in Blushing Bride, Real Red and Watermelon Wonder inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. Oh my Amy, I love this one. It is simple yet so elegant! I case most of your cards as I make them for our church to send out. It is my mission work and they love them!

I also love the fact that you explain how to make them. It helps me so much. I have been stamping since 1999, but I am not really good at making up my own design, so I really appreciate yours. I will be 82 July 4th, yes a firecracker, and when I get home from the nursing home my husband of 59 years is in I sit right down and stamp as it helps me unwind. I have three young ladies from our church that love to come and stamp with me once a month after church. It is a wonderful hobby.

    Thank you again for sharing.

    Gloria
