Stampin’ Up! Pedal Pusher for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

I used the Stampin’ Up! Apple of My Eye, Beautiful Ride and Pedal Pusher (Sale-a-bration exclusive) stamp sets to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to play along with this week and this is what I created:

Pedal Pusher - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

Feb 18

I started by adhering a panel from the It’s My Party DSP Stack to a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with SNAIL, then to a Melon Mambo card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Pedal Pusher 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a narrow panel from the It’s My Party DSP Stack to a narrow panel of Mint Macaron card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the bike image from the Pedal Pusher photopolymer stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I stamped the flag and basket images from the Pedal Pusher stamp set with the bike and heat embossed them with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder as well.

Pedal Pusher 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the little dog image from the Beautiful Ride photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink in the basket and heat embossed it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I colored the stamped images with Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers, then used a Blender Pen to add a little Mint Macaron ink under the bike wheels.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Mint Macaron card stock and to the card front with SNAIL.

Pedal Pusher 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Apple of My Eye photopolymer stamp set in Mint Macaron ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, punched it out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to a circle that I’d cut from Mint Macaron card stock with a Circles Collection Framelits die.  I trimmed the edge off the layered circles and adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.  I pulled apart a strand of the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack, pulled the Mint Macaron threads through a Melon Mambo button from the Brights Designer Buttons Pack, tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.

Pedal Pusher 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the It’s My Party DSP Stack to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. It’s the extra things you do that make your cards so special–like embossing all the parts of the bicycle and adding those smudges under the tires. This card sure makes me smile! TFS

  2. Darling card. Love the pooch in the basket. Adorable. Love the colors and choice of DSP’s.
    Thanks for sharing with us!!!

  3. Awhhhh, so cute! Good job Amy! Can hardly wait for my set to arrive (next week). Love what you do! Always! Geraldine >
