Stampin’ Up! Timeless Love You Make My Heart Smile

I used the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Love stamp set to create a quick watercolor card to share with you today.

Timeless Love - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #228.

The theme for my card was inspired by The Paper Players PP287.

And the colors for my card were inspired by Just Us Girls #335.

I started by stamping the flower image from the Timeless Love stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of watercolor paper.  I sprinkled the image with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

Timeless Love 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless love stamp set in VersaMark Ink near the flower image and heat embossed it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder as well.  I wet the entire panel with just water and my Aqua Painter, then added a little Daffodil Delight ink and I moved it around until the background was lightly covered.

If you haven’t seen it yet, I did a video showing you some tips and tricks for watercoloring.  You can see it here, I used several of the same techniques for this card.

Timeless Love 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I painted the flower images with my Aqua Painter and Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz inks.  I let the panel dry completely, then added Clear Wink of Stella over the flowers (wish that it showed better in the photo…it’s really shimmery and pretty!).

Timeless Love 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the watercolored panel to a panel of Blushing Bride card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then to a Wisteria Wonder card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two of the Enamel Glitter Dots from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

Timeless Love 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the Timeless Love stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on two corners of a Very Vanilla panel, then watercolored the images with Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz inks on the inside of the card.

    • Thanks Mary! I cheated a little on two of them…my design doesn’t match up perfectly with the sketch and I added a little green into the mix for the leaves. Don’t tell on me! 😉

  1. So elegantly bright and 3 sketches/challenges!! Wowzers 🙂 I LOVE the glitter enamel dots, was wondering why they sparkled and where you got them. Oh please, wouldn’t it be AWESOME to have these in the new catalog 😀

  2. Beautiful card! I love those flowers! They are so nicely coloured! Reminds me of spring! Love the flowers inside as well! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
