Stampin’ Up! Apple of My Eye Pink Lemonade

I used the Stampin’ Up! Apple of My Eye stamp set and two of the new In Colors from the upcoming catalog that will be available June 1 to create my card to share today.

Apple of My Eye - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #233.

And the theme for my card was inspired by Just Us Girls #340.

Screen Shot 2016-04-24 at 2.33.04 PM

I started by stamping the fruit images from the Apple of My Eye photopolymer stamp set (retiring) in Flirty Flamingo ink (available June 1) twice on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the seed image over the fruit images in Peekaboo Peach ink (available June 1), then punched the stamped images out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.

Apple of My Eye 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I placed the two punched images on a panel of Whisper White card stock where I wanted them to go, then lifted the punches and stamp the leaf image from the Apple of My Eye stamp set in Cucumber Crush ink on the Whisper White panel.  I embossed the panel with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder, then adhered it to a panel of Flirty Flamigo card stock (available June 1) with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Apple of My Eye 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I embossed a strip of Peekaboo Peach card stock (available June 1) with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder (retiring), then adhered it to a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock and to the card front with SNAIL.  I adhered the two fruit images with Glue Dots.  I stamped the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, adhered it to a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock, then to a panel of Cucumber Crush card stock and finally to the card front with SNAIL.

Apple of My Eye 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I pulled a few strands from the Cucumber Crush Thick Baker’s Twine (available June 1) through a Classy Designer Button, tied a bow, then adhered it with a Glue Dot to the card front.

Apple of My Eye 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the fruit and leaf images from the Apple of My Eye stamp set in Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Cucumber Crush inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. Love it! Your card has made my mouth water, I want pink lemonade!! 🙂 I like the way you played the circles of the embossing folder with the circles of the fruit, great subtle detail. I’m off to dig through my cabinet for pink lemonade mix, lol! *sigh, poor substitute for fresh, but hey…

  2. Amy those colors are so fun together! Amazing how well cucumber crush complements the new colors. Have a happy Monday 🙂

  3. Super cute card. I LOVE the colors, very happy. And great idea to stamp the leaves and then dry emboss the card front. I really like that look. I also love that you added that embossed panel in the orange. Really, really pretty, and great take on the photo challenge. Thanks for playing along with us this week over at Just Us Girls.

  4. These are fun colors together! And I love how you’ve used the sketch. It was fun seeing you on stage at OnStage ! Congratulations on all of your accomplishments! It’s always good to see you in the gallery at Freshly Made Sketches!
