Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday, Everyone for the Retiring Blog Hop

Retiring Blog Hop Header

Today, our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring some of the retiring Stampin’ Up! stamp sets.  I have chosen to feature the Happy Birthday, Everyone host exclusive stamp set.  I absolutely love the happy birthday sentiment from this set and I’ve used it many times!

Happy Birthday, Everyone - Stamp With Amy K

The design for my card was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 278.

Screen Shot 2016-04-30 at 12.19.19 PM

I started by adhering strips of Birthday Bouquet DSP (retiring) to a panel of Pool Party card stock with SNAIL.  Then I adhered the layered panel to a Mint Macaron card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Birthday, Everyone 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Birthday, Everyone stamp set (retiring) in Pool Party ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then I adhered it to a panel of Pool Party card stock and to the card front with SNAIL.

Happy Birthday, Everyone 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched balloons from Pool Party and Mint Macaron card stocks as well as White Vellum with the Balloon Bouquet Punch.  I adhered strands of Whisper White Baker’s Twine to the backs of the balloon punches with Glue Dots, then adhered the balloons to the card front with with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots.

Happy Birthday, Everyone 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I tied a bow with Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the balloon strings, then adhered the strings to the card front with a rolled up Glue Dot.

Happy Birthday, Everyone 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Birthday, Everyone stamp set in Mint Macaron ink in the center of the Whisper White panel inside the card, then stamped the bundle of balloons with the Balloon Celebration photopolymer stamp set in Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Smoky Slate inks, after stamping them on scrap paper once.

**A quick note on the Balloon Celebration Bundle:  The bundle pricing for this stamp set and punch will be ending on May 31.  The items will be in the next catalog but you won’t be able to get the 15% bundle discount on them, so get your bundle now and save!

  1. Amy, the ballots on the front are so pretty! Inspired use of the vellum for this card.

  2. Love the color combo from the DSP – so pretty! The sketch is a great layout for all sorts of cards, and I love how you used DSP for the panels. I am so glad the balloon punch is carrying over into the new catalog, it’s a fun one.

  3. I really like the way you tied in the balloon theme with the punched out balloon embellishments on the front. Your cards always have the extra pizzazz that makes them so special 😉

  4. This is one of my all-time favorite stamps, so I’m glad I have it on my shelf. Thanks for the pretty card using it and for the good directions to CASE it. I love the blog hop and can’t wait for your next one…what a talented group.
