Stampin’ Up! Fabulous Flora Sneak Peek

I used on of the Stampin’ Up! Host Exclusive stamp sets from the upcoming 2016-17 Annual Catalog called Fabulous Flora to create my card to share today.  This stamp set is perfect for coloring and watercoloring!

Fabulous Flora - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Pals Paper Arts PPA300.

I started by adhering a wide strip of So Saffron DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack to a thick Whisper White card base with SNAIL.

Fabulous Flora 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image from the Fabulous Flora Host Exclusive stamp set (available June 1) in Basic Black Archival Ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper.  I used my Aqua Painter to add a very light wash of Wild Wasabi ink over the background of the image, then I watercolored the flower with Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Wild Wasabi inks.  I let the image dry completely, then adhered it with Fast Fuse Adhesive to a panel of Wild Wasabi card stock and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Fabulous Flora 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Love stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on a separate strip of Watercolor Paper and I used So Saffron ink to lightly wash over that panel.  I let the paper dry completely, then punched both ends with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered it to the card front with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

Fabulous Flora 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through a Classy Designer Button, tied a bow and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Fabulous Flora 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the Fabulous Flora stamp set  in So Saffron ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  2. Very elegant card with clean lines. I really like that you used So Saffron! It doesn’t get much love, lol 🙂 It is the perfect pairing with the Wild Wasabi and Calypso Coral.
