Stampin’ Up! Sitting Here for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBannerI used the Stampin’ Up! Sitting Here stamp set from the upcoming 2016-17 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Sitting Here - Stamp With Amy K

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

May 19

I started by stamping the swing, bird, sentiment and flowerpot images from the Sitting Here photopolymer stamp set (available June 1) in Basic Gray Archival Ink on a panel of watercolor paper.

Sitting Here 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I used my Aqua Painter along with Sahara Sand, Mint Macaron and Crushed Curry inks to paint the stamped images.  Then I stamped the image of the swing shadow from the Sitting Here stamp set in Sahara Sand ink under the swing on the watercolor panel.

Sitting Here 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the pillow images from the Sitting Here stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a separate panel of watercolor paper and I watercolored them with Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron inks.  Once everything had dried, I snipped the rectangular pillow out and punched the round pillow with the 3/4″ Circle Punch and I adhered them both to the watercolor panel with Glue Dots.

Sitting Here 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I brushed the edges of the watercolor panel with Sahara Sand ink and a Clarity Stenciling Brush, then adhered the panel to a panel of Basic Gray card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive and to a Mint Macaron card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a single It’s My Party Enamel Dot (retiring) next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

Sitting Here 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the swing image from the Sitting Here stamp set in Sahara Sand ink, stamped it on scrap paper once, then stamped it on a panel of watercolor paper inside the card.
