Stampin’ Up! Fresh Fruit for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBannerI used the Stampin’ Up! Fresh Fruit stamp set to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.  I am in love with Flirty Flamingo…I think that I might need an intervention!  😉

Fresh Fruit - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the sketch that we’re playing with this week:

June 23

I started by stamping a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock with the flower images from the Fresh Fruit photopolymer stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink.

Fresh Fruit 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a panel from the Fruit Stand DSP pack to a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock, then to the Daffodil Delight card stock panel with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Fresh Fruit stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink and the dot image in Cucumber Crush ink across the Daffodil Delight panel.

**Quick Tip:  When you are layering papers that are cut at an angle and you want the angles to be the same, lightly tack the layers together with SNAIL and trim them both at the same time.  Then pull your layers apart and trim the bottom straight off the smaller panel.  That will ensure that your angled layers line up perfectly!

Fresh Fruit 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I wrapped a strand of Cucumber Crush Thick Baker’s Twine around the layered panel and tied a bow.  I used a little tape on the back of the panel to hold the twine in place, then adhered the layered panel to a Cucumber Crush card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Fresh Fruit 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the Fruit Stand DSP to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Amy,

I love this card you made and especially love the tips you gave with it. I never thought to cut my angle this way. So much easier.

I loved all the postings today also. Thank you so much for sharing them with me. I wish I could get all the stamps in the new book. Ha.

  2. What a bright and cheery card Amy. That piece of DSP is one of my favorites from the stack, something about the composition makes my little heart so happy 🙂 Have a wonderful day!

  3. I agree with everyone Amy, this is such a bright and cheery card! It made me smile too 🙂 Awesome tip for the angle cutting of your layers, I rarely do them because mine don’t always come out so wonderfully straight, lol. Nicely done, stepping up the sketch with your layers!

I am coming around very quickly to the new in colors, so it won’t be me doing the intervention, hahaha 😀
