Today, our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring some Stampin’ Up! birthday projects. I have chosen to use the Birthday Banners stamp set to create a fun birthday card.
The design for my card was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #288.
I started by embossing a panel of Pool Party card stock with the Sparkle Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Island Indigo card stock with SNAIL, then to a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut two strips from the Serene Scenery DSP Stack, punched the ends with the Banner Triple Punch, then adhered them with SNAIL to the card front. I stamped the candle images from the Birthday Banners stamp set in Island Indigo and Delightful Dijon inks at an angle across a panel of Whisper White card stock. I punched the corners with the Project Life Corner Punch, then adhered it to a panel of Island Indigo card stock also punched with the Project Life Corner Punch with SNAIL and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the candle images again in Island Indigo and Delightful Dijon inks on a separate panel of Whisper White card stock, snipped them out and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the banner image and sentiments in Pool Party and Island Indigo inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock, cut it out with the matching Bunch of Banners Framelits die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.
I snipped the edge off a Metallic Foil Doily, tucked it under the sentiment and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL. I added three gold stars from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish it.
I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Banners stamp set in Island Indigo ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then inked the little candle image with Pool Party and Delightful Dijon inks and stamped it three times next the sentiment. I added a strip of the Serene Scenery DSP to finish the inside of the card.
