I used the Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Branches stamp set that will be available August 2-31 for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.
Here are the colors for Sunday Stamps SSC131. We were to use at least three of the colors…I think that I used all six! 🙂 Be sure to stop by the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the other design team members created and to play along too!
The design for my card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches 245.
I started by embossing about 2/3 of a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Seaside Embossing Folder. To do that, I simply placed about 2/3 of the panel inside the embossing folder and left the top 1/3 hanging out when I ran it through my Big Shot. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Thoughtful Branches photopolymer stamp set (available August 2) in Real Red ink in the upper left corner.
I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL and then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a bow. I adhered the layered panel to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the tree images from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set in Early Espresso and Wild Wasbi inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the tree three times without reinking to give the image a little more depth. I stamped the grass image in Pear Pizzazz ink and then sponged the panel with Daffodil Delight ink around the trees and Pear Pizzazz ink over the grass. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the little bird image from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I cut the bird out with the matching die from the Beautiful Branches Thinlits dies set (available in a bundle with the Thoughtful Branches stamp set for 10% off beginning on August 2) and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot. I added a single Tangerine Tango enamel heart from the Brights Enamel Shapes pack next to the sentiment to finish the card front.
I stamped the tree and images from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set in Early Espresso, Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz inks on a Whisper White panel inside the card. I stamped one tree image at “full strength” and stamped the other two without reinking.
