I used the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wings stamp set to create a clean and simple card to share with you today.
My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #183.
I started by stamping the dot image from the Watercolor Wings photopolymer stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Smoky Slate card stock. Then I stamped that same image in Smoky Slate ink above it twice “full strength” and a final time without reinking.
I stamped the sentiment from the Watercolor Wings stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on the Smoky Slate panel and then adhered it to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL. I adhered the layered panel to a Basic Gray card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the outline image of the butterfly from the Watercolor Wings stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of White Vellum and allowed it to dry completely (I used my heat tool on the #1 setting to speed the drying process). I stamped the inner butterfly image from the Watercolor Wings stamp set in VersaMark ink on the White Vellum panel, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. Once the image cooled, I cut it out with the matching Bold Butterfly Framelits die.
I pulled a strand of Blushing Bride Solid Baker’s Twine through a Classy Designer Button and tied a bow. I adhered the button to the butterfly with a Glue Dot and then adhered the butterfly to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a single Bushing Bride enamel dot from the Subtles Enamel Shapes pack next to the sentiment to finish the card front.
I stamped the dot image from the Watercolor Wings stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.
