Stampin’ Up! In Color Frosted Medallions Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Medallions stamp set to create a clean and simple card to share today.  My card design was inspired by one that Dani D. created and you can see it here.

My card layout was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #189.

The colors for my card were inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments #246.

And the sequins on my card were inspired by Just Us Girls #360.

I started by stamping the large medallion image from the Frosted Medallions stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I sprinkled the image with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I sponged Sweet Sugarplum ink over the medallion image and then a little lighter over the remainder of the panel.  I inked the larger splatter image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the Whisper White panel.  I repeated that process four times.  Once I had the ink coverage that I wanted, I wiped the excess ink off the embossed image with a paper towel.

I ran SNAIL down a length of Sweet Sugarplum ribbon from the 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack and gathered it, then adhered it to the Whisper White panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Sweet Sugarplum card stock with SNAIL and then to a Dapper Denim card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Frosted Medallions stamp set in Dapper Denim ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock, then stamped the image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink (stamped off once) over it.

I looped Silver Metallic Thread and adhered it to the back of the sentiment strip with Glue Dots, then adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added sequins from the Fancy Frost Sequins pack with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and silver enamel dots from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card front.

I inked the Frosted Medallion image in Dapper Denim and the Gorgeous Grunge image in Sweet Sugarplum inks, stamped them on scrap paper and then stamped them on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Beautiful! I love how you used the emboss resist technique on the medallion. The colors and the sentiment would make a recipient feel wonderfully hopeful and calm. Thanks for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

  2. Wow! This may be clean, but it’s far from simple! I love the subtle layers you’ve created, and then that gorgeous ruffle of glitter ribbon highlights your sentiment amazingly. LOVE it! Thanks so much for playing at HSS! ~Erika
