Welcome to the August Control Freak Stampers Blog Tour! You may have arrived from Mindy Backes, her projects are always fantastic! This month the theme is “Gratitude” so we’re all creating Stampin’ Up! projects with a thankful theme.
For my first project, I created a thank you card using the Paisleys & Posies and Suite Sayings stamp sets. I used the Joseph’s Coat Technique to create the background panel, so much fun and so easy to do!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my projects! Time to head on to see the beautiful projects that Kelly Acheson has created!
I LOVE your Paisley card! I love the colors you used and the Joseph’s coat technique. I had to look it up (the technique) to find out how to do it and give it a try myself this evening because it is so pretty!
Thanks Susan! It’s a fun technique, isn’t it? Happy stamping! 🙂
What pretty cards! I am very fond of paisley so that’s my favorite. I also love the color technique – just perfect!
Thanks so much Melanie! 🙂
Beautiful splashes of color on the paisley card and I love the softness of the Basket of Wishes. Both cards are very pretty!
Thanks so much Melissa! 🙂
Love the colorful paisleys, and the way you softened the basket image so the greeting stands out!
Thanks Cindy! 🙂
These are both fantastic! The paisley background is amazing and I love how you used the basket image! I’m glad I just made an order so it won’t go order it today, lol!
Thanks Mindy!! 😊
Pretty colors on both cards. Love how you used the paisley’s!
Thanks so much Debbie! 🙂
SUPERBES TES 2 CREAS
Thank you! 🙂
Your Joseph’s Coat technique turned out beautifully! Love to see how you use the Moroccan DSP, it is perfect for this fall card. 🙂
Thanks so much Jari! 🙂
Joseph’s Coat is the first online tutorial I did on Splitcoaststampers (years ago), so I always smile when I see someone use it. That technique works perfectly with the paisley stamps! You’ve inspired me to try it again. Both of your cards are gorgeous, as usual.
Thanks for showing off that awesome technique! I know that it’s been around forever, but it’s starting to reappear a bit. I guess all that is old is new again. 😉 Thanks for your nice comments! 🙂
Both of these are beautiful cards, Amy! 🙂
Thanks Mary! 🙂
Love the Joseph’s Coast technique and the washi tape on your basked card – WOW! Two great cards!!!
Thanks so much Kelly! 🙂
