Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies and Basket of Wishes for the Control Freaks Blog Hop

Control Freak Stampers

Welcome to the August Control Freak Stampers Blog Tour!  You may have arrived from Mindy Backes, her projects are always fantastic!  This month the theme is “Gratitude” so we’re all creating Stampin’ Up! projects with a thankful theme.

For my first project, I created a thank you card using the Paisleys & Posies and Suite Sayings stamp sets.  I used the Joseph’s Coat Technique to create the background panel, so much fun and so easy to do!

For my second project, I’ve created a thankful card with the Basket of Wishes stamp sets.  I stamped off the basket image before stamping it on the Very Vanilla panel and then used a Blender Pen to add a little color back in.  Another easy technique!

  1. I LOVE your Paisley card! I love the colors you used and the Joseph’s coat technique. I had to look it up (the technique) to find out how to do it and give it a try myself this evening because it is so pretty!

  2. What pretty cards! I am very fond of paisley so that’s my favorite. I also love the color technique – just perfect!

  3. These are both fantastic! The paisley background is amazing and I love how you used the basket image! I’m glad I just made an order so it won’t go order it today, lol!

  4. Joseph’s Coat is the first online tutorial I did on Splitcoaststampers (years ago), so I always smile when I see someone use it. That technique works perfectly with the paisley stamps! You’ve inspired me to try it again. Both of your cards are gorgeous, as usual.

    • Thanks for showing off that awesome technique! I know that it’s been around forever, but it’s starting to reappear a bit. I guess all that is old is new again. 😉 Thanks for your nice comments! 🙂
