Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie and Copper Vintage Leaves

I used the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves and One Big Meaning stamp sets to create a fall thank you card.  I received a similar card made by Lisa Martz from a swap that I participated in.  You can see Lisa’s card here.  Thanks for the color inspiration Lisa!

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #259.

The colors for my card were inspired by Just Us Girls #366.

And the fall theme for my card was inspired by The Card Concept #60.  I would say that my card falls into the clean and layered category.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the One Big Meaning stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White cards stock.  I sprinkled the image with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I adhered a panel from the Halloween Night Specialty DSP pack to the Whisper White panel with SNAIL and then I adhered a thin strip form the Copper Foil Sheets over the DSP panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL and then to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a leaf from Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper with the Leaflets Framelits Die and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card front.  I stamped the leaf image from the Vintage Leaves photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Copper Foil Sheets, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I let the image cool completely and then cut it out with the matching Leaflets Framelits Die and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I pulled a strand of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine through a Classy Designer Button, tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.

I stamped the image from the Vintage Leaves stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. Wow!!

This is gorgeous Amy. What talent. I rarely use my embossing powder, but now you have me interested. I need to try using it more often.

I love the looks of it.

  2. Thank you for another idea using my card as inspiration! I just might have to make a copy of this card to show off! Love this!

  3. Amy, such a beautiful card. I would never have thought to stamp/heat emboss the copper foil. It gives such great dimension. Thank you for sharing.

  4. So elegant . Perfect combinations of paper and embellishments. The finishing touch is always the inside of the card that completes your art work.

  5. Your card is beautiful Amy! Love the glittery orange and copper foiled leaves over that strip of black polka dot paper! Lovely design! Thanks for joining us this week at Just Us Girls!

  6. So chic, with the copper embossed sentiment and the very special copper leaf 🙂 Like that the button & twine bring the DSP out and adds to the copper layer. And you got 3 challenges in one, I bet you did a happy dance when you finished, lol!

  7. Absolutely stunning Amy. I love those beautiful leaves. Lovely to see you at Just Us Girls again. Thanks for sharing with us this week.
