Stampin’ Up! Cool Treats Sneak Peek

I couldn’t help myself…I had to pull out one of the new stamp sets from the Stampin’ Up! 2017 Occasions Catalog to play with today!  I used the Cool Treats stamp set that will be available beginning January 4 to create a fun birthday card to share today.

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #197.

I started by inking the ice cream images from the Cool Treats photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 4) in Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party and Crumb Cake inks and stamping them across a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped off the background images on the Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder treats but stamped the others full strength.

I placed a panel of Pool Party card stock under my stamped panel that was 1/8″ longer and wider.  I lined up the bottom edges and centered the stamped panel and then trimmed both panels at an angle together so that both panels would be even at the bottom.  I adhered the stamped panel to the Pool Party card stock panel with SNAIL and then adhered a tiny peek of the Watermelon Wonder 5/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon to the back of the layered panel with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Cool Treats stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink on the bottom of a Thick Whisper White card base and then adhered the stamped panel over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Pool Party enamel dot from the Subtles Enamel Shapes pack next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and ice cream images from the Cool Treats stamp set in Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party and Crumb Cake inks on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

And here is a peek at the full stamp set…it’s bundled a matching set of Framelits that I’m dying to get my hands on!
