I used the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and coordinating dies and a little of the Falling In Love DSP from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog to create my card to share today. I can officially say that I have already fallen in love with this stamp set bundle and this beautiful designer paper!
My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #240.
I started by adhering a strip of the Falling In Love DSP (available Jan 4) to a Very Vanilla card base with SNAIL. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Dragonfly Dreams photopolymer stamp (available Jan 4) set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of the Falling In Love DSP. I adhered the stamped DSP panel to a panel of Sahara Sand card stock with SNAIL.
I adhered a strip of White Vellum to the DSP panel with SNAIL (hidden under the layering panel) and then adhered a strip of the Falling In Love DSP over the vellum with SNAIL. I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel, tied a bow and then adhered the panel to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the dragonfly image from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. I inked the center of the dragonfly wings in Blushing Bride ink and the outer edges in Soft Sky ink and then stamped it over the Sahara Sand image. I cut the stamped image out with Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits die (available Jan 4 in a bundle with the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set) and then added Clear Wink of Stella over the wings.
I adhered the dragonfly die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a single Pearl Basic Jewel near the die cut to finish the card front.
I stamped the dragonfly images from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in Sahara Sand, Soft Sky and Blushing Bride inks on a Very Vanilla card stock panel inside the card.

This card is so beautiful 😍 I love it! C’mon January! 😂
Thanks Susan…I agree, the new catalog is awesome!! 🙂
I love your card, especially the colors you choose for your dragonfly. May I ask how you applied the ink to the stamp. Did you just touch the ink pad to the stamp or did you use a tool or a sponge? Thanks!
Thanks Paula! I touched the stamp to the ink pad and was just careful to not mix the inks together. I inked the pink first and then the blue. Hope that helps! 🙂
Great card! I totally CASED this for my Dragonfly Dreams stamp camp in March. I will tag your post though to give you credit. You have such lovely cards. (-:
Thanks! Hope that your group liked the card. 🙂
