Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams Birthday

I used the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog and the Birthday Blooms stamp set to create my card to share today.

My card design was inspired by Mojo Monday 476.

And the colors for my card were inspired by Global Design Project #064.

I started by cutting three dragonfly die cuts with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies and placing them over a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I secured the edges of the die cuts with Post-It Note Tape and then rolled Old Olive ink lightly over the die cuts with a Sponge Brayer.

I removed the die cuts and then stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Blooms stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink toward the top of the panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock and then to a Thick Whisper White card base with SNAIL.

I ran Fast Fuse Adhesive down a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and then adhered it across the card front, gathering it as I adhered it.  I added Glue Dots under the “rolls” to keep them as flat against the card base as possible.

I stamped the dragonfly image from the Dragonfly Dreams photopolymer stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I inked up the wings with Daffodil Delight ink on the edges and Marina Mist ink in the middle and I stamped it over the dragonfly image.  I cut the dragonfly out with the matching Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Die and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a little Clear Wink of Stella to the wings, but you can’t really see it in the photo.

I stamped the sentiment and dragonfly images from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in Marina Mist and Basic Black Archival inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.
