I used the Stampin’ Up! Happy Celebrations stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog to create a celebrate card for the Happy Stampers blog hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and here is the card that I created for it.
Here is the sketch that we’re using this week, I turned it on its side:
I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder (available Jan 4). I opened the embossing folder but left the card stock in it and stamped the circles from the Happy Celebrations photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 4) in Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight inks randomly across the embossed area. Leaving the paper in the folder, gave me a more solid backing to stamp on so that I didn’t get much ink in the debossed areas.
I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Peekaboo Peach card stock with SNAIL and then wrapped a strand of Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine around it and tied a bow. I adhered the layered panel to a Watermelon Wonder card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Celebrations stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I cut the sentiment out with a Banners Framelits Die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment to finish it.
I stamped the sentiment from the Bookcase Builder photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 4) in Watermelon Wonder ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the circles from the Happy Celebrations stamp set in Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight randomly across the panel inside the card.
