Stampin’ Up! Avant Garden Sneak Peek for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBannerI used the Stampin’ Up! Avant Garden stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Sale-a-bration Brochure to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and here is the card that I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

dec-15

My card design was inspired by Global Design Project #066.

gdp066

I started by stamping the flower image from the Avant Garden photopolymer stamp set (Sale-a-bration exclusive, available Jan 4) in Dapper Denim ink on a Very Vanilla card stock panel.  I stamped some of the images full strength and some without reinking.  Then I stamped the leaf images in Emerald Envy ink over the panel, some full strength and some without reinking.

I stamped the flower centers from the Avant Garden stamp set in Early Espresso ink over the flower images and then added a few of the dot images in stamped off Sahara Sand ink over the entire area.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Dapper Denim card stock with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Avant Garden stamp set in Dapper Denim ink on a small piece of Very Vanilla card stock and then punched the corners with the Project Life Corner Punch.  I used the 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch to punch a small hole in the upper left corner of the tag.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the larger stamped panel twice and threaded it through the hole in the tag.

I threaded one of the Sending Love Embellishments (available Jan 4) through the twine and tied a bow.  I adhered the tag to the card front with a Stampin’ Dimensional and then adhered the card front to a Dapper Denim card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped images from the Avant Garden stamp set in Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand inks on a Very Vanilla card stock panel inside the card.
