I used the Stampin’ Up! Special Reason stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog to create my card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week.

Here is the sketch for Sunday Stamps SSC142.  Be sure to stop by the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the other design team members created and to play along too!

I started by cutting a panel from the Succulent Garden DSP (available Jan 4) and a panel of White Vellum with the scalloped edge die from the Popcorn Box Thinlits dies.  I adhered the two panels together with touches of SNAIL and then to a Whisper White card stock panel with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Special Reason stamp set (available Jan 4) in Sweet Sugarplum ink on the lower right corner of the Whisper White panel and then adhered the stamped panel to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the large flower from the Special Reason stamp set with Sweet Sugarplum ink and then used a Sponge Dauber to remove a little of the ink from the center of the flower.  I loaded up another Sponge Dauber with Calypso Coral ink and dabbed over the center of the flower and then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I repeated that process and stamped the flower a second time on the panel.  I cut one flower out with the outline die from the matching Stylish Stems Framlits dies (available Jan 4) and cut the second flower with the die designed to cut the individual petals.  I used a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach one layer of the petals to the solid die cut.

I stamped the flower image from the Special Reason stamp set again in Tip Top Taupe ink on a panel of  Whisper White card stock and cut the center of the flower with the Stylish Stems Framelits die.  I adhered the center to the larger flower with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then adhered the flower to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the smaller flower from the Special Reason stamp set in Calypso Coral ink and I used a Sponge Dauber and a little Sweet Sugarplum ink to add some color around the edges of the stamp.  I stamped the image on a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the matching Stylish Stems Framelits die.  I tucked the flower under the larger panel on the card front and adhered it with Glue Dots.

I stamped the leaf images from the Special Reason stamp set in Mint Macaron ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut them out with the matching Stylish Stems Framelits Dies.  I adhered the leaves to the card front with Glue Dots.

I stamped the flower and leaf images from the Special Reason stamp set in Sweet Sugarplum, Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.
