Welcome to the December Control Freak Stampers Blog Tour!  You may have arrived from Kelly Acheson, her projects are always fantastic!  This month the theme is “Sale-a-bration/Occasions 2017” so we’re all creating Stampin’ Up! projects with items from the upcoming Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration Brochure.

For my first project, I’m featuring that crazy chicken from the Hey, Chick stamp set.  This is a Sale-a-bration exclusive stamp set that will be available for free beginning January 4!

It doesn’t show up well in the photos, but after coloring the chicken with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, I added a little Clear Wink of Stella to the crazy hair and tail feathers.  A little shimmer makes the hair look even crazier…love it!

Paper:  Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper, Real Red card stock, Basic Black card stock, Whisper White card stock, Watercolor Paper

Embellishments:  Clear Wink of Stella, Brights Enamel Shapes, Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL

For my second project, I used the awesome Watercolor Pencils and a Blender pen to color the little food truck from the Tasty Trucks stamp set.  This is another Sale-a-bration exclusive stamp set that will be available beginning January 4!

I used the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to color the image on Whisper White card stock and it worked great!  I didn’t do a lot of blending, so I’m not sure how well the paper would hold up to that, but for quick coloring it worked perfectly!
