Stampin’ Up! Cool Treats You’re Sweet Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Cool Treats stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog to create my card to share today.  I’m so exited that the new catalog AND Sale-a-bration both start tomorrow!  The Stampin’ Up! online store will be opening around 2:00 AM MT on Wednesday and it will be all loaded with the new catalog items.  Yippee!!

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 313.

I started by adhering one of the speciality panels of DSP from the Tasty Treats Specialty DSP (available Jan 4) pack to a panel of Chocolate Chip card stock with SNAIL and then to the Watermelon Wonder card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  This piece of DSP has a glossy coating over the images, it’s pretty cool!

I punched the end of another panel of Tasty Treats DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I cut the ice cream cone from Crumb Cake card stock with a Frozen Treats Framelits Die (available Jan 4) and I adhered it to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL.  Love that the die embossed the bottom of the ice cream cone!  🙂

I inked the larger ice cream image from the Cool Treats photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 4) in Peekaboo Peach ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the second image from the Cool Treats stamp set in Peekaboo Peach ink over the first one and cut the image out with the matching Frozen Treats Framelits die.  Then I adhered the ice cream over the cone die cut with SNAIL.

I cut the little strawberry from Whisper White card stock with the Frozen Treats Framlits die and then stamped the strawberry images from the Cool Treats stamp set in Watermelon Wonder and Pear Pizzazz inks on the die cut.  I tried to stamp first and then cut, but I couldn’t get the die to line up the way that I liked so cutting first and then stamping worked great!  I adhered the die cut strawberry with a Glue Dot to the ice cream cone die cuts.

I stamped the sentiments from the Cool Treat stamp set in Chocolate Chip and Watermelon Wonder inks next to the ice cream cone on the Whisper White card stock panel.  I adhered three strips of the Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape (available Jan 4) to the edge of the Whisper White panel and then adhered the panel to a panel of Chocolate Chip card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish it.

I adhered a strip of the Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape across a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. My mouth is watering looking at your card!!! And I just had an ah-ha moment. I didn’t realize the cones or dishes everyone has been using is a DSP. No wonder why I couldn’t figure how it was created. Thanks!!

  2. We all agree, we’d like some ice cream please! 😉 Gotta love this weather, your card is perfect for the 70 degrees here. I think my favorite part is how you did your banner, with the ice cream and the washi tape with the sentiment. Sweet, Amy!
