I used the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blast stamp set to create a masculine card to share today.  If you haven’t picked up the Urban Underground Specialty DSP…you need to!  The paper has so many great designs and they’re perfect for masculine cards!  I know that many of us struggle with those, this paper makes them really easy.

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 315.

The colors for my card were inspired by Global Design Project #GDP069.

I started by embossing a strip of Silver Foil Sheets with the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed strip to a panel from the Urban Underground DSP with SNAIL and then adhered the DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.

I adhered two strips of Urban Underground Designer Washi Tape to the card front and then adhered the layered card front to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Blast stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of the Urban Underground DSP.  I stamped the little flourish from the Birthday Blast stamp set in VersaMark Ink under the sentiment, sprinkled it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I punched the end of the sentiment strip with the Banner Triple Punch and then coiled Silver Metallic Thread and adhered it with Glue Dots to the back.  I adhered the sentiment panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three random silver enamel shapes from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish it.

I inked the large star image from the Birthday Blast stamp set in Delightful Dijon ink, stamped it twice on scrap paper and then stamped it on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.
