I used the Stampin’ Up! Swan Lake stamp set to create a quick watercolored card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #271.

I started by adhering a panel from the Blooms & Bliss DSP pack to a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a smaller panel of the Blooms & Bliss DSP over the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the images of the swans from the Swan Lake stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of watercolor paper.  I stamped the baby swans again on a Post-It Note and I snipped around the top of the image.  I placed the Post-It Note mask over the watercolor panel and then stamped the images for the cat tails over it in Basic Black Archival ink.  I added the sentiment to the panel as well.

I used the Early Espresso, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie Watercolor Pencils to color the cat tails and swan beaks.  I ran my Aqua Painter quickly over the penciled areas to blend and then did a watercolor wash background in Mint Macaron and Island Indigo inks.  I let the panel dry completely and then adhered it with Fast Fuse Adhesive to the DSP.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front and tied a knot and then adhered a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment.  I adhered the layered panel to a Mint Macaron card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the swan images and sentiment from the Swan Lake stamp set on a Whisper White panel to finish the inside of the card.
