Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up Smiles Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up stamp set bundle along with the Carried Away DSP and Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack from Sale-a-bration to create my card to share today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #279.

I started by adhering a panel from the Carried Away DSP (Sale-a-bration exclusive item) to a Smoky Slate card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I punched the ends of two strips of the Carried Away DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and I adhered those banners over the DSP on the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered a panel of the Mint Macaron Glimmer paper from the Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered a panel from the Carried Away DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I adhered that panel over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the balloon images from the Lift Me Up stamp set in Night of Navy, Watermelon Wonder and Peekaboo Peach inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut them out with the matching Up & Away Thinlits Dies and I adhered them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I colored the sentiment from the Lift Me Up stamp set with my Night of Navy and Watermelon Wonder Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the sentiment out with a Layering Ovals Framelits die and the adhered it to another Layering Ovals Framelits die cut from Night of Navy card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the sentiment ovals to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue under the left side and a Stampin’ Dimensional under the right.

I stamped the balloon and cloud images from the Lift Me Up stamp set in Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach and Smoky Slate inks on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

You can see a complete list of supplies for creating this card, including card stock cuts at the very bottom of this post.

  1. oh how fun, I love the two designer papers together it really makes the balloons Pop…great sketch challenge, you rocked it

  2. What a fun card. I love how the balloons really stand out without being too bright against the mint macaron/smoky slate papers. The glimmer paper adds the perfect bling – I sure hope they bring those glimmer papers into our new catalog. They are gorgeous!!

  3. Love these balloons floating across your card, Amy, and the patterned papers work perfectly with them. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  4. well shoot! Placing my order this morning and tried to order the glimmer appear only to find out it is sold out!!! I am so bummed out right now. On a brighter note…your card is AWESOME as always. Love the colors and that sketch is a good one.

    • Thanks Vicky! I was a little bummed that the Glimmer Paper was sold out too…fingers crossed that Stampin’ Up! will add more pretty colors of Glimmer Paper in the next catalog! 🙂
