Stampin’ Up! Birthday Cards for the Stamp To Share International Blog Hop

We are back with another Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop with Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world!  This month we’re featuring the birthday cards and I have chosen to use two stamp sets from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2017-18 Annual Catalog called In the City and Birthday Delivery.  Here are my projects:

For my first card, I used the In the City photopolymer stamp set.  This will be a host exclusive item in the upcoming 2017-18 Annual Catalog.  It’s an awesome stamp set with 60 images!!

I started by stamped the sentiment from the In the City stamp set (available June 1) in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Smoky Slate card stock.  I adhered the panel to a Marina Mist card base with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the city images on a panel of Whisper White card stock in Soft Suede, So Saffron, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi and Calypso Coral inks.  I adhered that panel to the Marina Mist card base with SNAIL and then stamped the “sidewalk” image in Smoky Slate ink on a strip of Smoky Slate card stock and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the city image a second time in the same colors on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I snipped them out and adhered them over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the car images in the same color scheme, snipped them out and adhered them with SNAIL to the card front to finish it.

For my second card, I featured the new Birthday Delivery stamp set that will also be available in the upcoming 2017-18 Annual Catalog!

I started by stamping the hat, gift and balloon images from the Birthday Delivery photopolymer stamp set (available June 1) in Pool Party ink on a panel of Pool Party card stock.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Delivery stamp set in Pacific Point ink on the panel.  I punched strips of the Birthday Memories DSP (available June 1) with the Banner Triple Punch and then adhered the strips to the card front with SNAIL.  I adhered the Pool Party panel to a panel of Pacific Point card stock with SNAIL and then to a Pacific Point card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the image of the girl and the balloon string from the Birthday Delivery stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of watercolor paper.  I used Real Red, Chocolate Chip and Powder Pink (available June 1) inks and an Aqua Painter to add color to the image.  I cut the image out with the coordinating Birthday Friends Framelits (available June 1) and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits die cut from Whisper White card stock.  I adhered the oval to the card front with SNAIL and the added one of the Balloon Honeycomb Embellishments (available June 1) to the end of the balloon string to finish it.

  1. Love both these cards. The new city-themed hostess set looks like a lot of fun, and the way you created the city street with so many fun details is amazing!! I spy a fun honeycomb embellishment on the little girl card – I loved the ones we had before, so excited that there are more coming!
