Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a masculine theme and I have chosen to to feature the Urban District stamp set for my project.

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 331.

I started by embossing a panel of Cajun Craze card stock with the Hexagon Embossing Folder and then I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL.

I stamped the “D” from the Urban District stamp set (retiring May 31) on Early Espresso ink twice on a panel of the Wood Textures DSP Stack (available June 1).  I stamped “A” from the Urban District stamp set in Early Espresso ink on another panel of Wood Textures DSP and I cut it out with Paper Snips.  I used a Blender Pen and a little Cajun Craze ink to add a touch of color to a few of the images on each letter and then adhered the “A” to the larger DSP panel with SNAIL.  I adhered the DSP panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then to the Cajun Craze panel with SNAIL.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the Cajun Craze panel and tied a small knot, then adhered the layered panel to a Sahara Sand card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Urban District stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on a strip of Wood Textures DSP, punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the heart image from the Wood Words stamp set (available June 1) in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Wood Textures DSP.  I used a Blender Pen and a little Cajun Craze ink to add just a touch of color over the stamped image.  I punched the heart out with a 1″ Circle Punch.  I adhered the circle punch with SNAIL to a circle cut from Early Espresso card stock with the Layering Circles Framelits dies and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Guy Greetings stamp set in Cajun Craze ink and the heart from the Wood Words stamp set in Early Espresso ink (stamped off on scrap paper once) on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.
