Stampin’ Up! Weather Together Love Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Weather Together, Lovely Friends and Background Bits stamp sets to create my card to share today.  This was one of those cards that I started with one idea and then ended up going down a completely different path…as you can see from the stamp set list!  🙂

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #290.

I started by stamping the hearts image from the Weather Together photopolymer stamp set in Powder Pink ink across the front of a Thick Very Vanilla card base.  Then I cut some of the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers in half and adhered them to the card front.

I stamped the script image from the Background Bits host exclusive stamp set in Sahara Sand ink across a panel of Sahara Sand card stock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Weather Together stamp set in VersaMark ink on that panel, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I wrapped a strand of Powder Pink 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon around the panel, secured it with SNAIL and then wrapped a strand of Linen thread around it and tied a bow.  I adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the flower images from the Lovely Friends photopolymer stamp set in Powder Pink and Sahara Sand inks on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock and cut the out with the matching Lovely Laurel Thinlits dies.  I cut the leaves from Lemon Lime Twist card stock with the Lovely Laurel Thinlits die and then adhered the leaves and smaller flowers to the card front with Glue Dots and the larger flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added three gold enamel hearts from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiments from the Milestone Moments stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.  Then I stamped the hearts from the Weather Together stamp set in Powder Pink ink and I added one of the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers to create the border at the bottom.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, used to create this card at the very bottom of this post.

  1. Beautiful card, Amy. I am glad to note that I am not the only one who changes things in the middle of a card! But, hey! That is the fun of it, right?

  2. This card turned out gorgeous Amy! I do that too – I grab some products I want to use together, but then you really have to play and fiddle before the project comes together 🙂 I love that little shower of hearts stamped on the background – it almost looks like a sheet of DSP. The scripty fonts you used for both the sentiments are so pretty, and the metallic enamel shapes are the perfect finishing touch. Love it!

  3. Absolutely lovely! I love that golden sticker with the soft pink and the sand! Gorgeous use of the sketch. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  4. Oh so lovely Amy! Your creative streak was in overdrive today 😁 I love the way it all turned out! Awesome use of the gold semi circle and the flowers and stems as your banner 😊
