Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Days for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Days stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The design for my card was inspired by The Paper Players PP350.

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist card stock with SNAIL.  Then I added a strip of the Naturally Eclectic DSP to the panel, using SNAIL to adhere it.  I wrapped a strand of Lemon Lime Twist 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon around the panel and tied a bow, then adhered the layered panel to a Berry Burst card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the gift image from the Happiest of Days stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then used a Blender Pen, along with Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist inks to add color to the images.  I cut the image out with a Layering Circles Framelits die and adhered it to another Layering Circles Framelits die cut from Berry Burst card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered circles to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happiest of Days stamp set in Berry Burst ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I punched the end of the panel with the Banner Triple Punch and then adhered it with SNAIL to a panel of Berry Burst card stock that I’d also punched with the Banner Triple Punch.  I adhered the layered banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added one of the Glitter Enamel Dots to finish it.

I masked the flower and leaves on the birthday wishes sentiment stamp from the Happiest of Days stamp set with Post-It Notes and then inked the sentiment in Berry Burst ink.  I removed the Post-It Notes and stamped the image on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then stamped the image of the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Pretty card. Simple and to the point. Great coloring. I opted not to get the Eclectic DSP, and now I am wishing I had it as I see several of you using it to great advantage. HMMM.

  2. Amy, I was so hesitant to jump on the whole Lemon-Lime Twist bandwagon, but I genuinely like it here paired with Berry Burst. It’s one of those colors that’s growing on me! Great job on this card and it’s always nice to see your work with The Paper Players! Crystal
