Stampin’ Up! Tags & Trimmings with Trim Your Stockings

I used the awesome Tags & Trimmings stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog to create some cute gift card/treat holders for the holidays!  I’m planning to jump on Facebook Live around 10:30 AM ET today to do a quick video to show you how easy they are to put together.

Aren’t those little stockings just the cutest things ever?!?

I cut the larger stocking pieces from Read Red card stock with the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies (available Sept 1).  I stamped the sentiments from the Tags & Trimmings stamp set (available Sept 1) in VersaMark Ink on the die cuts, sprinkled them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I cut the cuff, heel and toe pieces from panels of Quilted Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Sept 1) with the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies and adhered them to the die cut socks with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

After I adhered the DSP die cuts to the front of the stockings, I flipped them over and adhered the pillow box part to the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  ***Quick Tip:  the longer pull tab goes toward the bottom of the stocking and the tab with the notch cut out goes to the top.  Then I pulled strands from the Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack through holes that I’d cut in the top of the stocking.

I stamped the button images in Real Red ink on Whisper White card stock and then cut the buttons and other embellishment pieces with the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies from Garden Green and Gold Foil Sheets.  I adhered the die cuts with Glue Dots and added a little Gold Mini Sequin Trim and a gold enamel dot from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish them.

Don’t forget to stop by my Facebook page today to check out my video!  If you can’t watch it live at 10:30 AM ET, stop by later to check it out.  I’ll also post a link in my blog post tomorrow so that you can go watch it on my YouTube channel!

I’ll also be posting a cool alternative project that you can create with the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies tomorrow so be sure to stop back to check it out too!

  1. These are so adorable. I can’t wait to see all the great stamp sets in the upcoming catalog. I make a lot of gift card holders for my boys to give out so this would be so cute to make.

  2. Those stockings are adorable!! I watched your video and they sure come together easy. I can’t wait to see what your alternative project is for tomorrow. I have this bundle on my wishlist, along with a ton of other things 🙂

    • Thanks Deepa! Felt like I fumbled through the video a bit since I was all flustered and couldn’t get it to work right! 🙂 It’s a really cute bundle with lots of uses!
