Stampin’ Up! Birthday Banners With Stampin’ Blends

I used the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Banners stamp set and some of the Just Add Color Specailty DSP to create my card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge this week.  I pulled out my new Stampin’ Blends Markers to do a little coloring!

I’m planning to jump on Facebook Live around 10:00 AM ET today to do a quick video to show you how I colored the background for this card with the new Stampin’ Blends.

Here is the sketch for Fab Friday 123.  Hope that you’ll stop by the Fab Friday Challenge Blog and play along too!

I started by coloring a panel from the Just Add Color Speciality DSP (on the Buy 3, Get 1 Free Sale going on through Oct 31) with the Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers (only available to Demonstrators at the moment…ask me about how you can get them in your Starter Kit!).  I adhered the DSP panel to a panel of Pool Party card stock with SNAIL.

I cut a panel of Copper Foil Sheets with one of the Flourish Thinlits Dies.  I also cut a small rectangle from the Copper Foil Sheets, punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch and then embossed it with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  I colored both of the Cooper Foil pieces with the Bronze Stampin’ Blends Marker to give them a bit of a tarnished look, then adhered them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the DSP panel.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel and tied a small bow, then adhered the panel to a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Banners photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I stamped the banner image from the Birthday Banners stamp set around the sentiment, then cut it out with the coordinating Bunch of Banners Framelits Die.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Banners stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then added a strip of the copper washi tape from the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape across the bottom to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, for this project at the very bottom of this post.
