Stampin’ Up! Coffee Cafe Birthday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Coffee Cafe stamp set bundle, the Hug in a Mug stamp set and a little of the Coffee Break DSP that is one the Buy 3, Get 1 Free sale this month to create my card to share today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #309.

I started by adhering a panel from the Coffee Break DSP to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a strip of Coffee Break DSP to a strip of Early Espresso card stock and then to the larger DSP panel with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to an Early Espresso card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the coffee cup image and one lid from the Coffee Cafe photopolymer stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped a second lid in Pear Pizzazz ink, then cut the images out with the coordinating Coffee Cups Framelits Dies.  I cut a larger cup from Coffee Break DSP with the larger die from the Coffee Cups Framelits set.  I adhered the lids to the cups with a thin bead of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a corrugated wrap from Crumb Cake card stock with the wrap die from the Coffee Cups Framelits dies.  I stamped the sentiment from the Hug in a Mug photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock and then cut it out with the other wrap die from the Coffee Cups Framelits dies.  I adhered the two wrap dies to the coffee cups with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then adhered the coffee cups to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionanals.

I adhered a small piece of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to the back of a panel of Silver Foil Sheets and then cut a swirl with the die from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies.  I adhered the foil die cut to the card front with the Adhesive Sheets, then added a Garden Green enamel heart from the Regals Enamel Shapes pack next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Milestone Moments photopolymer stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then added the coffee beans from the Coffee Cafe stamp set in Soft Suede ink to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, for this project at the very bottom of this post.

  1. Your card is adorable Amy! I love how the hug in a mug sentiment fits perfectly on the little sleeve, and the swirly diecut “steam” is the perfect touch.
