I really liked the sketch that I used for my card yesterday, so I thought that I’d use it again to make a more masculine birthday fall card to share today! I used the Stampin’ Up! Stylized Birthday stamp set and some of the Wood Textures DSP that is on the Buy 3 Get 1 Free Sale going on through Oct 31 for this project.
I started by adhering a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL and then to a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched the end of a strip of Wood Textures DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the sentiment from the Stylized Birthday stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I cut the sentiment out with a Layering Squares Framelits Die and then adhered it with SNAIL to a square cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die from Copper Foil Sheets and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut leaves from Copper Foil Sheets with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and I adhered the smaller leaf with a Glue Dot to the card front. For the larger leaf, I left the leaf in the die after running it through the Big Shot and then added strips of tape across the back to hold the small pieces i place. I removed the leaf from the die and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Delivery stamp set in Early Espresso ink and then added a strip of the Wood Textures DSP on a Very Vanilla card stock panel inside the card.

Lovely! Gorgeous use of copper and wood, two of my favorites!
Thanks Julie! 🙂
Ooh I like the idea of leaving the pieces in the leaf! Mainly so then I don’t have to poke them out! Great card idea and thanks also for the cutting measurements.
Thanks Gale! I was feeling a little lazy when I made this card and I liked them left in too! 🙂
Such a handsome card!
Thanks Terri! 🙂
LOVE THIS CARD…Always looking for a masculine theme and this is perfect! Great colors.
Thanks Pat! So glad that you liked it! 🙂
Really awesome masculine card! Love it and may case it!!
Thanks Jari! CASE away! 🙂
Like Gale, I love your idea of taking the small pieces into the leaf. It saves copper paper and the mess of flying the cut out to a solid leaf. You’re brilliant, Amy. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Elaine! 🙂
Wow the copper is fabulous! Very stylish!
Thanks so much Linda! 🙂
