Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Autumn Greetings Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons stamp set bundle and the Seasonal Lantern stamp set to create my card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 356.

The colors and fall theme for my card were inspired by the Fusion Challenge this week.

And my card also works for The Paper Players #368.  I went diagonal from upper left to lower right.

I started by stamping the branch image from the Colorful Seasons photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink across a panel from the Naturally Eclectic DSP (on the Buy 3, Get 1 Free Sale through tomorrow).  Then I adhered the panel to a panel of Night of Navy card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

I stamped the leaf image from the Colorful Seasons stamp set in VersaMark ink on Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie card stock panels, sprinkled them with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I cut the leaves out with the coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.  I also cut smaller leaves from those two card stocks with the smaller leaf die from that set.  I adhered the leaf die cuts to the panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then added a small piece of Burlap Ribbon with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

I wrapped a strand of Crushed Curry Solid Baker’s Twine around the panel twice, tied a bow, then adhered the panel to a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Seasonal Lantern photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on another strip cut from the same panel of Naturally Eclectic DSP, punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch and then adhered it to the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish it.

I stamped, embossed and die cut another leaf with the Colorful Seasons stamp set bundle and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered it to a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

    • Thanks Jari! We’ve still got almost all of the leaves on our trees around here, they’re just starting to turn. But I suspect with the cols snap over the weekend, they’ll be turning in a hurry! 🙂

  1. I love it! Such an unexpected combo for fall, but the leaves are so cheery against the blue background. Our leaves are really changing here, and dropping fast now that it’s chilly willy. The holidays will be here before we know it 🙂

  2. I like the contrast of the warm leaves on the cooler blue ‘sky’. The arrangement of falling leaves is lovely and the addition of the twine is a perfect accompaniment. Thanks for joining us again at The Paper Players, Amy.

  3. We have no leaves here like this so I really like your card. I love the shade of blue on the DSP. I haven’t even opened that package yet. I saw that sketch and had no idea what to do with it…I’m glad YOU did! Beautiful.

  4. Amy, your falling leaves are so perfectly placed, and I love your color choices. The soft shading of your background paper is wonderful, too. So glad you joined us this week at The Paper Players!

  5. I’m slowly getting caught up on emails and though late, I had to say how much I love love love this! That background makes those leave pop off the page–kinda reminds me of the blue sky here this past weekend! Our leaves are just starting to turn too–and we’re in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mtns! Great take on the sketch and a beautiful card. You are so creative!
