Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest stamp set bundle to create my card for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.

Here are the colors for Sunday Stamps SSC165.  Be sure to stop by the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the other design team members created and to play along too!

My card also works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #TTTC022.  I went right across the top row.

And my thank you card works with the Just Us Girls #418.

I started by adhering a panel from the Woodgrain DSP to a panel of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL. Then I punched two strips of Naturally Eclectic DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered them over the panel with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a Berry Burst card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the larger flower image from the Painted Harvest photopolymer stamp set in Tangerine Tango ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the more detailed flower image in Melon Mambo ink over it. I inked the flower center in Night of Navy ink, stamped it on scrap paper once and then stamped it over the flower images.

I stamped the sentiment from the Daisy Delight photopolymer stamp set in Night of Navy ink under the sunflower, then inked the dot image from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Soft Suede ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it randomly around the panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL, wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around it and tied a bow, then adhered the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped three leaf images (one image layered on top of the other) from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Old Olive ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, punched them out with the Leaf Punch and adhered them with Glue Dots under the main panel.  I tucked one of the Touches of Nature Elements under the Linen Thread and adhered it with Rolled up Glue Dots, then added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment to finish it.

I stamped the sunflower images from the Painted Harvest stamp set in the same colors as noted above on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

  8. Great card and great color burst from the sunflower! I have loved this stamp set and how many color combinations can be used. However the first time I went to use it, I put the cling stamp on backwards and got a big round blob !!😂😂

    Do you always stamp off the larger flower image first and use the smaller more detailed image full strength ??? Do you worry about how the 2 layers line up? Is there a top and bottom??

    • Hahaha…yep, sticking the stamp on backwards will do that! 🙂 I don’t always stamp off the background image, for me it really depends on the color that I’m using. The lighter colors (yellows, pinks, light blues, etc) don’t need to be stamped off. But I do like the look of the darker colors stamped off. And there supposedly is a way to “line up” the images, but I’ve never done it. I just stamp it however so that it’s layered. No worries about stamping it a certain way. 🙂
